about ipwg kraków
International Politics Working Group of AEGEE Kraków is a great offer for anyone interested in international relations who would like to share one’s ideas and views on this subject-matter or simply get acquainted with the culture and traditions of other countries.
Our main task consists in exploring the ins and outs of political negotiation, conference techniques as well as applying our academic skills in practice. We are also responsible for providing AEGEE with knowledge in this field.
The most popular project, though not the only one organized by AEGEE are recurrent meetings with foreign guests, when they tell us about their homeland’s culture, history, politics and economic situation. These meetings are always open to anyone interested in the topic being dealt with (no matter if one is not a member of AEGEE, or just a student).
To date we managed to organize meetings with students from Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Italy, France, Greece, Holland, Morocco, Egypt, Croatia, Portugal, Venezuela and Japan. Another project that we coordinate consists in a series of meetings with diplomats. We already had the opportunity to meet Zbigniew Czubiński, the consul of Poland in Belgium, Holland and UK, Janusz Kahl, the honorary consul of Denmark and Sweden, as well as Edward Molendowski, minister plenipotentiary working for the Polish Embassy in Budapest, with whom two further meetings are planned. Thanks to these meetings, we were able to discover the practical aspects of work in diplomacy, learn how diplomatic relations between countries are established, get acquainted with their duties and how they solve problems.
